btw, arthur didn´t die yet, merlin saved him and they ruled camelot for another decade. merlin became court sorcerer (and arthur´s lover). and then arthur died and merlin is now waiting for him. and when arthur is needed again, he will come back and save the world with merlin.
say what you want about the ending but omg THE MAGIC REVEAL IT WAS BEAUTIFUL we got everything we wanted. arthur’s acceptance, his gratitude, THEIR LOVE WAS BURNING UP THE SCREEN TBH
